S. E. Hancock & Son Ltd. will carry out a full supply and installation service, from groundworks, civil works, cabling and installation of equipment, including the re-instatement of roadway (any surface including tarmac) and white lining works – to a specification requested by the Client – meeting and exceeding their expectations.

Our team includes staff that have worked for the Company from a young age and includes second and third generation family members, being nurtured to believe that good service is paramount to keeping the Company in business for future generations.

In 1978, Stephen Hancock founded the Company as a sole proprietor, working from shared premises at Carr Mills, Meanwood, Leeds.  

As an established electrical contractor, installations were predominantly domestic, undertaking small electrical jobs through to full home rewires.

In February 1984, the Company was assessed and became members of NICEIC, an accreditation held to this day.

Works continued in the domestic field until the mid-1990’s, when installations began for commercial Clients, including electrical works associated with shop fitting for the Burton Group, as well as fire and heat detection installations for a leading UK manufacturer of systems based in Warrington, Cheshire.

It was at this time that the Company was introduced to the parking industry and began to migrate its domestic Client database to the commercial sector, concentrating on the installation of bespoke car parking barrier equipment to Client’s nationwide.

In 2002, S. E. Hancock & Son was incorporated to private limited company status and 2014 saw the appointment of two further directors, Asa Lockwood and Gareth Buck.
